“A messenger came" (Verse 14)
“Another also came" (Verse 16)
“Another also came" (Verse 17)
“Another also came" (Verse 18)
II. Four For Trials
1. Satan’s purpose is to destroy our joy in God.
2. Our purpose in trials is to show the world that God is more glorious and more valuable.
3. God limits what Satan can do.
4. Our faith must be tested to prove it genuine.
III. The Response of Worship (Job 1:20-22)
21And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”
22In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong.
V. Something to consider from the text today:
Worship in Pain: Choose to praise God even when sudden tragedy strikes your life.
Remember Who Owns All Things: Acknowledge that your possessions and loved ones are gifts from God.
Guard Your Heart: Refuse to let anger or despair make you accuse God of doing wrong during hard times.
